Ok full disclosure, so I had every intention of keeping to a theme and topic this month, but guess what….I don’t work like that. I’m a speak from the heart, say what’s on my mind kind of gal. Now, this does get me in trouble at times, but it also REALLY allows me to listen to the Holy Spirit when it comes to speaking and sharing.
I had this on my heart, and of course, wanted to share….in hopes that someone needed to hear this today.
Have you ever been in a situation that kind of/really sucks? Ever been in a situation where you are so mad you could cry? Or a situation where all you want to do is call your friends and yell and complain at the top of your lungs? Ever been in a situation where the people around you are saying things that aren’t true?
Ok….so, if you’re human, you have. It doesn’t matter if you are a Christian or not, real life gets to you! And how hard is real life?!?!
I think people have this crazy notion that Christians are all sunny and sparkly all the time…wrong! As a Christian, you’ll still get mad, you’ll still get so mad you’ll want to fight back, you’ll still get so mad you’ll want to cry. BUT EVENTUALLY YOU’LL GET SO MAD THAT YOU CRY OUT TO JESUS.
Having a love and belief in Christ does not mean that this world won’t get to you. It will still rock you to the core sometimes and make you second guess everything you believe in. It will still get you down. Even make you scream at the sky, “REALLY”?!?!
HOWEVER, IT IS WELL. Many of you know “It is Well With My Soul” as a hymn, but to me it’s a way of life. No matter how much things suck, He’s got it all under control, so that it can be well. And even when my world is crumbling, my soul has joy because I am HIS.
“Through it all, through it all my eyes are on you and it is well with me”
Take a minute and listen to this, let the words wash over you, and know that it is well with your soul.
Check back here next Thursday for my final post as I share 5 important life lessons I have learned
